Yes PS3 has some really good exclusives and I wouldn't tell somebody not to buy one if they like the games. None of them appeal to me personally though other than the Show. I would even recommend a PS3 if you mainly play sports games. It's just not for me and I have to admit I am a little leery about dropping $300+ after buying a Wii and not really playing it much.

I blame Wang.

Tell me about it. I literally haven't turned my Wii on in over a year. Pretty much from the day the PS3 came out of the box. There are a few solid games (pretty much just the Nintendo ones), but the used price never gets cheap enough. I just got Gears of War 2 for $17 and Metal Gear Solid 4 for $22 new while on Amazon Super Paper Mario is still $30 used, Punch Out is $35, and Twilight Princess is $37.

I even have Metroid Prime Corruption which I have yet to finish 2 years later. I love Metroid. I hate to say it because I love Nintendo, but they really do aim for a different demographic than the other 2. The Wii is a cool cool experiment and not much more at this point. The Wii rarely gets played at my house. I think we get more mileage out of our DS's. Bought my oldest Chrono Trigger for Christmas. I think I played it more than he has.

I think when I buy a PS3 it will be when I get a HDTV and get a deal where they throw in a PS3 with purchase. Best Buy as been doing that the last couple years around December. HDTV + PS3 for around $1000.

Amazon has had some good videogame deals for the last few months. This console generation has sucked until recently for finding deals. $10 towards a future videogame purchase with some preorders, $3-5 off normal prices even at launch(doesn't sound like much, but it has been rare to find games below their suggested MSRP since online shopping became more popular), and I even came across DA:O for $45 a month after launch.

Ok, so I have a kind of embarassing question... I still just have a PS2, and since I don't really play it for the graphics, I haven't bothered updating from my (EA) NCAA College Football 2008. What drives me bat-poop crazy with this game is that, with the widest game camera view available, you still can't see the entire width of the field (or close enough to the entire width to function). This results in basically completely guessing on any shorter routes to the wide split receivers on anything that isn't a hot slant. Needless to say, this drives me freakin' crazy.

Does any newer PS2 college football game clean up this mess of an issue? Maybe a wider camera view in-game? I like EA's series in general, but this is one glitch that has absolutely stopped me from playing it. My concern is that I don't want to just go buy 2009 or 2010 if the same problem exists. Ok, end rant of the guy that's currently too cheap to upgrade his system.

Sorry, I can't help you on that. I will say that unless you really like videogames, it probably doesn't pay to buy a new console. They have priced themselves to high for people who only buy 2-3 games a year. I have to admit if it came down to giving up the Brewers or videogames, it would be bye bye Brewers.(mmmm Ommegang)

Does anyone know or have a good rogue build for DAo? Right now im boosting dex and cun. Ive got him with dual weps and a few stealth skills.

If you're on the PC make sure you patch the game since the cunning bonus was carrying over correctly. Then keep on piling on points to dex and cunning. You do however want a strength of 20 for the best rogue armor. And you'll want to push up willpower a bit for talent uses. I took all the rogue combat talents except feign death, never had a need as DW rogue. Maxxed out lock picking. As for DW talents, keep in midn you'll be back stabbing so ignore branches that keep you from making critical hits.

What kind of tv do you play on? I used to have this problem with Madden when I was on a non hdtv. As soon as I bought an HDTV I was able to see the entire field. Needless to say I wasnt throwing pics into the flats and my record online boomed.

I'm doing a dual wielding dagger rogue playthrough right now and it's a ton of fun. Keep in mind that bonus armor and accessories that give you extra points to attributes. I pumped pretty much all my points into Cunning. I'm at level 18 right now and I do about 60 damage points average per backstab. I'll list my build below. I am on the Xbox by the way playing as an evil female city elf.

Strength 22 (for armor purposes)

Dexterity 35 (For Evasion talent)

Willpower 21 (I maybe put a point into this)

Cunning 63 (Lethality uses cunning as a damage modifier. The 2nd Assasin skill uses cunning as well for additional damage and Song of Courage from the bard tree also uses cunning.)

Constitution 17

Skills

Coercion x 4

Trap making x 4 (also gives the passive ability to detect traps)

Poison-Making x 1

Combat training x 4 (absolute must)

Talents

Dirty Fighting x3

Below the Belt x4 (Get lethality early if you can)

Deft Hands x 2 (Cunning adds to your lock-picking ability so any more than 2 talent points here is a waste. I haven't had a chest that I can't pick yet and I feel like even 2 points might be over doing it)

Stealth x4 (You want to get this as soon as possible obviously)

Assasin Tree x4 (A must for a backstabber. I would get this first before bard)

Bard x3 (Song of Courage is as high as you need on this tree)

Dual Weapon Training x3 (I would get the first 2 talents early in the game if possible)

That's it. I don't know how high I will be able to level this character, but I think my next 4 points will go toward getting Arrow of Slaying. I used it on my first play through with Leliana and she was getting damage of up to 400 points. The best dagger in the game is from a vendor in Orzammar and is called Rose's Thorn. If you have the downloadable content, the second best dagger is in Shales quest in the deep roads, unfortunately I wasn't thinking about this when I murdered Shale early on in the game. Remember to use stealth to its fullest. Set up traps when it's obvious. I like the sleeping traps myself.

My first playthrough was as a mage and while it was fun, this build has provided me with new levels of enjoyment. Hope that helps.

It's happened either on a standard/old TV or on a newer HD/flatscreen TV. I tried adjusting the game camera... I'll have to try again.

Okay, first off, let me preface this by saying that when it comes to video games, I am always a couple of years behind the times. And that's only because I prefer to not buy them when they are $50 but rather when they are $10.

That said, I just played some "Left 4 Dead" co-op with my brother for the first time. Three hours later and I am hooked! Wow that was a lot of fun. I couldn't stop smiling for like a half-hour.

So expect me to pick up "Left 4 Dead 2" in 2011 or so and I'll let you know if I'm still smiling with that one or not.

Anyone played MAG yet? I'm thinking of picking it up for PS3. I've heard some mixed things, though.

It is online only no single player. It is rather easy for the multiplayer though and there are not enough weapons like in MW2. I like the concept but they need to add some more variety to the game like MW2. You only have 3 weapons to choose from at the beginning. It is an OK game not a great game though.

So I have been playing Mass Effect 2 for a few weeks now and I just love the game. Of course I liked the first one as well so that shouldn't be to surprising. It really does a good job of taking your character from the first game and integrating it into this game. It is interesting to see the effect your choices in the first game had. Not that any of them have really far reaching consequences.

Now I find out they are coming out with more DLC free for people who bought the game new. So far they have given out a new character along with his loyalty mission, free armor(2 sets) and a free gun. This new DLC is supposed to include a new vehicle and 5 new missions.

Also, for fans or DA:O, and I know there are a few, DA:O Awakenings is due in a couple weeks, March 16th I believe. I am really looking forward to it. They apparently changed a few things to make Rogues and Warriors stronger(new abilities) because the Mages were so strong.

Borderlands just had a DLC content pack released this week that increased the level cap to 61(their tag line was "this one goes to 11") instead of 50. I think companies are finally getting DLC right. They are releasing good DLC. DLC in general to this point has been pretty crappy in my opinion(outside of Fallout 3, their DLC was pretty good).

I'm glad I didn't buy Dante's Inferno that game was just a very badly done rip off of the God of War series. The gameplay was awful rather hard to see what you were actually doing in the game and it was rather short and it wasn't all that hard either even on the hardest level. I was hoping that game would be at least somewhat fun before God of War 3 comes out but alas no.

Mass Effect 2 is absolutely an amazing experience. The characters are really well developed and the story is very immersing. I played through it twice and I've been thinking about a third playthrough.

It's only February, but Mass Effect 2 has my blessing for Game of the Year.

I still have Mass Effect 1 on my Steam list. It's purchased but I haven't installed it yet. Probably won't in the near future. Maybe during the summer when I can give it 50 undivided attention hours.

I'll stick this here, for those not aware if you own an old style PS3 DO NOT TURN IT ON. There's a serious problem with the internal clock that can cause data to be lost even if a fix gets done.
