Just reported that he has asked for his unconditional release from the Packers. This is a sad day for me (and probably all of Wisconsin). It will be strange seeing one of our heroes in another uniform. Best of luck to Brett I guess. I wish he wouldn't have retired if he still wanted to play. That would have been a lot easier on everybody....

I have now officially lost what little respect for him I still had following all this. He was considered a legend by Packer fans like myself and has since resorted to second-hand attacks on Thompson presumably because he couldn't get his way with Moss. Retiring, watching the Packers draft two QB's, and then wanting to unretire smacks of complete unprofessionalism and lack of respect of the organization and for Rodgers in particular. I'll dupe this post on Lambeauleap.com, which is probably where it should be anyway.
