2nd Half Wish List

1) More production from lead-off spot: I understand Weeks has picked it up the last few games. Is that a trend or a temporary up-tick. Ideally, I would like to see a another reserve IF capable of leading -off. And for the right deal, I wouldn't be opposed to trading Weeks for a 2B with an OBP at least 20-30 points higher. This really is the missing piece to consistently scoring more runs.

 

2) Villanueva: He needs to play an important role in the 2nd half. I don't care if it's in middle relief, 8th inning, or starting. Maybe all of the above. He has the stuff to be lights out, I'm just looking for a little more consistency.

 

3) Bullpen LHP: Can Stetter be the guy in pressure packed situations late in the year? I'm not so sure.

 

4) 8th inning guy: Could be related to #3 if you get the right guy. This has not been WHOAA SOLVVD yet. Is it Mota? No. Gagne? Maybe, but how confident can you be with that solution? Riske? Ditto.

 

5) LH Bat: Ideally another OF. Big Russ is cooling off, and they really need another LH for PH situations, and it wouldn't hurt if that same person pushed either Cameron or Weeks if they struggle.

 

6) Suppan- He doesn't need to be lights out, just his typical self. When he comes back, it would be nice if he can give you 6-7 innings and keep you in the game. That would pretty much lock down the rotation, barring injuries.
