7/11/08 Reds (Fogg) at Brewers (Parra): 7:05 CDT

wibadgers23

Ump must've had a dinner reservation or something.

Anyway, go get 'em tomorrow against Volquez. He's been hittable his last few outings:

July 6 vs WAS - 6 IP, 5 H, 3 R, 3 ER, 3 BB, 3 K

July 1 vs PIT - 5.1 IP, 7 H, 3 R, 3 ER, 3 BB, 3 K

June 26 @ TOR - 4.1 IP, 6 H, 7 R, 5 ER, 3 BB, 0 K

Hopefully McClung can keep the walks down and the defense doesn't boot as many balls. They were one less error and a wild pitch away from winning this game, despite the crappy play.

The last couple of strikes (or non-strikes) should not have mattered....we played like a team out of it tonight---one hit v. Fogg with a 9+ ERA, dropping a fly ball, swinging at everything within 10 inches of the black, and losing a 5-2 lead. This is not what a contender does. Sorry, had to vent!

Just got back from the game. Ugh this was a tough one. No hitting for the first 6 innings, and then we get the lead only to enjoy it for about 4 minutes before it's gone and then the WP just took the air out of the place. A sweep seems likely this weekend. Hopefully the other divisional teams lose one or two otherwise it's looking like 7 back at the break. Ouch.
