TMJ problem (not the network) and Mouthguard

I have stated this before, but I have a bad TMJ issue with my jaw (my company health benefit program doesn't cover TMJ treatment because its considered "cosmetic") and it has gotten worse and worse when it comes to causing headaches and achy cheekbones. I have considered purchasing a mouthguard to wear even during the day when I am not eating to ease the tension and aches on my face. Today is one of the worst days because I have a migraine and my face feels like it just got hit by a 95-mph Ben Sheets fastball.
But does anyone know of any places that sell mouthguards (non-football type) over-the-counter that can provide support?

I use a Dentek mouthguard for grinding while I sleep. I got it at Target for like $18.

A specialist with a letter detailing how it affects your health can usually win an appeal with the insurance company. If not, Check into a subsidiary dental insurance plan that wont consider this cosmetic. It may be expensive, but you can drop them right after you have the surgery/procedure.
