Ray Durham -- Latest: Trade completed? Ford and Hammond to the Giants for sure, no Taschner

Really hope they didn't get Taschner...

I agree. Though if it was just Darren Ford, at least they didn't give up anything of consequence. If that's what it is, it's amazing how short the leash is for Stetter.

Haudricourt really doesn't sound to have any good info on this. The only thing we know is that Ford wasn't in the lineup tonight. For me it's impossible to try & guess who the target might be.

Yeah, before people get too worked up about getting Taschner, we really don't have any idea if that's the move. Tom was just speculating that it was possibly for Taschner or Durham.

Heck, could be Cain for all we know.

TLB is reporting that he's heard rumors the Brewers may be trading for SF's Matt Cain.

See, I can do it too. http://forum.brewerfan.net/images/smilies/smile.gif

Even though I knew it wouldn't have been true, I still managed to see "Matt Cain" and get excited for about a nanosecond before I read the sentence as a whole. Thanks TLB. http://forum.brewerfan.net/images/smilies/tongue.gif

I'd bet almost anything it's for Taschner. Why?? Because he got up in the pen today, then inexplicably sat down, and I don't think the Giants had anyone else warming at the time. For those that listened, you may Remember Ueck joking about how Jack had left the park, went home, caught the last few innings on TV and then fired up the grill. lol

But him getting up then sitting back down, really makes me think it's him. Booooooo if true. I want another BIG move Doug!!

With Darren Ford, my immediate thought was Brian Fuentes. Colorado has a fetish for speed and hitting in that system, he could approach 20HR's. And then, after the Brewers offer the three Type A FA's arby, we would have 7.....7!!! picks in the top 40.

Sorry, Stevo -- was just being goofy, not trying to prank. http://forum.brewerfan.net/images/smilies/smile.gif

JT would give them an extra loogy, add depth in case of injury, and Stetter would only miss 40 days. As I said, he's not a star, but he's better than Choate. His numbers versus RH's are much better than Shouse's as well, meaning he can be a good bet to give you an inning.

Doug is looking for minor upgrades at this point. If it is JT, Mota is gone on Tuesday as well. Heck, he could be going to SF in the trade, if the Crew pays his salary.
