Remember that inning if the Pirates can come back. Brewers squander a 3rd base and nobody out opportunity. It was Russell Branyan who squandered a 3rd base and less than two out chance in the top of the 8th or 9th, which preceded the D-Backs comeback on Thursday. We really could have used that extra run. Got to keep putting the pressure on especially with how tenuous our bullpen is.

4 hrs. 48 min.: Longest match ever, in terms of duration

Second time ever a match has gotten to 9-7 in the 5th set.

10-0 streak in non-French Open majors finals record for Federer snapped.

"You gotta expect the worst. It was the worst opponent on the best court." -- Federer

That one got a nice laugh from the crowd

Nadal is on the verge of breaking down... and I can understand why.

"It is important for me that I am in the time as the greatest player in the world"

"He's still the #1, he's still the best" -- Nadal, on Federer

This is a final that I will be proud to tell people that I was able to watch. Granted, not all of it... gotta have priorities when it comes to the Brewers! http://forum.brewerfan.net/images/smilies/wink.gif

I loved how Nadal literally climbed up to the section where his parents were sitting above the broadcast booth, then walked over the top of the scoreboard to the Royal Box to shake hands with the Spanish royalty that were invited to the match.

Back to the ballgame, it looks like Riske's trying to give me a heart attack. Lovely.

9 doubles ties a Brewer franchise record, per the radio broadcast- done 4 times previously.

The 12 extra-base hits ties a franchise record, done once on 5-15-01 against Philadelphia. 9 doubles and 3 HR- Richie Sexson with 2 doubles and a HR, Jeromy Burnitz and Ronnie Belliard with 3 doubles each, Raul Casanova and Devon White each with a HR, and Tyler Houston with a double.
