I would like to add this new song by Kid Rock.....i cant bother myself by knowing the name of it...all that needs to be known is that he took the melody from Warren Zevons Werewolves of London and disco-ed it up. Frankly, i was pissed when i heard this "song". It is everything that is wrong with pop music.

Yeah, it's awful. He managed to butcher two classic rock songs in one attempt though - Skynyrd and Zevon. That's pretty impressive I suppose...

I know I won't gain any fans for this, but I really like this song. Not because it has any redeeming musical qualities but b/c it's catchy and has a good beat. And yes, most of you would probably like the video. She's gorgeous. Video is on youtube. Make sure you look at the official video, because her live performances are horrible.

Like every other "worst ever list" i think Genesis needs to be heard from before the votes are tallied. I donno if this is just offense, or bad. You decide.
I disagree....Illegal Alien is one of my favorite 80's tunes.

I agree with the earlier poster that nothing can touch Rockstar by Nickelback. I never thought a song could irritate me more than Brown Eyed Girl but Rockstar does.

I was looking at cd's at The Exclusive Company and stumbled across the Katy Perry CD. It looks like the worst has yet to come with her. The next single is called "Ur so gay". Ugh.

These myspace artists are really starting to take over.

Hah! I've heard that and I had no idea it was the same girl. "You're so gay and you don't even like boys" is how the chorus goes.

She's gorgeous.

Any potential attractiveness is thrown out the window when you come out with two awful songs like these.

If there has ever been a worse combination of music and lyrics in the history of humans creating rhythmic sound, I'd like to know what it is.

Gotta give credit to those who mentioned "My Humps", "Milkshake", and "Hollaback girl" - those are in the top five.

But no one mentioned that goddamned Ghosttown DJs track from about 10 years ago. THAT was the worst one of all time. A couple of years ago I heard KNGY in San Francisco play it, and I called them and told them, "I don't know what shallow grave you unearthed that Ghosttown DJs track from, but please respect the dead and return it and bury it deep enough so that it never sees the light of day again."

Rounding out the top five - "Spider webs" (?). "It's all your fault I screen my phone calls." Was that Stefani on lyrics on that too? Geez, two in the top five for her.

(PS - while the pop radio edit of "Umbrella" by Rhianna was not good, listen to the Seamus Haji remix - that will change your opinion of it.)

Cajmere aka Green Velvet gets respect from me for being a pioneer, but come on - that tune just gets on my nerves. If it's going to be repetitive one-line techno, it's gotta be Steve Poindexter's Work That Motha(expletive deleted). I still have that on 12".

I think the problem with Percolator is that it sort of caught on as a single and got some radio airplay... Most repetitive hard-house songs are best (and often designed) to be mixed with others, so you don't just have 7 minutes of "it's time for the percolator... it's time for the percolator...it's time for the percolator...it's time for the percolator...it's time for the percolator...it's time for the percolator..."

I don't go to raves anymore or anything, but "back in the day" when the track got dropped, even WELL after its creation, the crowd went crazy.

Tubthumping.

Might as well lock the thread.

Nay nay and thrice nay. For three simple reasons.

1. Any song that can sneak a subversive, sweet "pissing the night away" onto Top 40 radio deserves praise.

2. Homer Simpson: "I drink a whiskey drink, I drink a chocolate drink, and when I need to pee, I use the kitchen sink".

3. Chumbawamba have members named Danbert Nobacon and Alice Nutter. Take that, Chad Kroeger!

I wanted to bring up Katy Perry back up because I saw her do one of the worst live performances I have ever seen on American Idol. I will give her that her songs can be catchy but her performance was so bad i can guarantee the judges were sitting there thinking, "the three finalists we have right now are so much better than this girl."

As for worst song ever I simply pick almost anything by Nickleback outside "this is how you remind" or maybe "photograph"

That must have been real bad considering the competition.
"His whole life is a fantasy camp. People should plunk down $2000 to live like him for a week. Sleep, do nothing, fall ass-backwards into money, mooch food off your neighbors and have sex without dating... THAT'S a fantasy camp."

Katy Perry plans to sue an Australian designer named Katie Perry (who operates her clothing line under her name) for usage of the name.

The funny thing? Katie Perry is the Aussie's real name... while Katy Perry is short for "Kathryn Perry". I don't see how she'd have a chance to win this lawsuit she's pressing. I really think she did this because paying some laywers for a few hours of work is cheaper publicity.

The funny thing to me is the American's dismissal of the press "creating a story where there is none." Oh, I see -- you're just alerting her that you're thinking about suing her. You're not suing her! Oh, man... were they wrong!

I should rephrase my statement. Her performance, which I saw on American Idol, was the worst live performance I have ever seen. Although it was definitely worse than anything I have seen on American idol not counting William Hung

I despised the Perculator song in college and had completely forgot about it until now. Out of some of the other hated songs, I actually don't mind Hollaback Girl, I take that over anything by Coldplay or DeathCab anyday. Old Metallica (pre Black Album) is great, they have slid further and further with each subsequent release. Rock Star doesn't bother me, I actually kinda like the lyrics, but Nickleback has always reminded me of the GooGoo Dolls for whatever reason and I hated them.

My Humps, yep, hated that one and Umbrella was always pure hatred for me. I can't understand the awards and a grammy, well given Jethro Tull's win for best heavy metal over Metallica's And Justic For All maybe I can.

My worst song ever -- Cotton Eyed Joe. I told our wedding DJ if I heard that song he would be fired immediately, he laughed and said that he had been threatend for that song before so he completely understood.
