Houston Astros (68 - 71)

Roy Oswalt RHP (11-8, 3.12/1.18)

Oswalt was brilliant in his last start on Sept. 3, no-hitting the Mets through six frames and ending his outing with a three-hitter through 7 2/3. Oswalt will pitch every fifth day, regardless of off-days, so Jason Hirsh will probably be skipped the next time through the rotation. Oswalt is 1-0 with a 4.61 ERA over two starts versus the Brewers this year. In his last outing versus Milwaukee on Aug. 29, Oswalt took a no-decision after yielding three runs over seven frames.

Milwaukee Brewers (64 - 75)

Ben M. Sheets RHP (4-6, 4.54/1.15)

Sheets was sharp against the Marlins on Saturday, but was hurt by home runs. Two of the four hits he allowed were homers, and they accounted for all three of the runs he gave up in seven innings of work. Sheets struck out eight and walked one. Despite the homers, Sheets left the game with a chance to win, but the bullpen blew a one-run lead in the eighth inning. Sheets, who has allowed four earned runs and 10 hits over 14 innings in his last two starts, is 0-2 with a 13.50 ERA in two starts against Houston this season.

lets hope im waay wrong and the brewers mash em...

I'd settle for just outscoring the 'Stros.

To hijack slightly, Daron just announced that Rocket is a scratch for Saturday's game.

But that's tomorrow. Go Brewers, tonight.

Remember: the Brewers never panic like you do.

wisconsinfan, just cause Jenks struck out against one of the top pitchers in the league doesnt mean he sucks, if you go about that, than every time Hart strikes out, and Jenks gets a hit, does that mean Hart sucks? You cant compare one at bat, and Jenks has been on fire latley, also Fielder struck out aginst Oswalt does that mean he sucks? So please dont compare at-bats. Im not a jenks fan either.

brewers255, i have nothing against Jenks, and of course I know that one at bat or one inning shouldn't determine how a manager plays his guys.

I'm just chanelling my frustration at this season's display of Hart rotting on the bench with Jenkins stinking up the middle of the order.

That was a horrible move by Yost. I know it's easy to say that now but it was a very mis-managed situation. Why wouldn't he just let Sheets finish the inning? Didn't Yost realize his lefty specialist move would be countered by a righty pinch hitter? I'm sorry but Shouse should be meant as purely a L-L matchup guy, not a universal pitcher to righties too. Garner outmanaged him there, no doubt about it. Sheets wasn't pinch hit for the inning before...let him finish the inning. As of right now, Yost costed us the game if it ends as is.
