I guess I can't really rip on my brother anymore for wearing his Sheets retro uniform to the game. FSN interviewed him during the game yesterday, JSonline writes a blurb and now he is going to be on the 620 morning show either tomorrow or Wednesday.

I used to be embarrassed by him when he wore that to the game, but I guess it paid off with a pretty cool fan experience. I still have to give him a hard time though.

That's awesome! What a great story. How can you not like this team?

Bilitz, a high school chemistry teacher at Wisconsin Lutheran High School who won $47,000 on "Wheel of Fortune" this year, showed up to the last two games of the series in a full retro uniform, everything from the hat, Ben Sheets jersey and belt with pants, socks and turf shoes. He was seen by Sheets around the team hotel Saturday night, prompting the ace to run up to the fan.

"I gotta get me one of those uniforms," Sheets told Bilitz.

Cameron saw Bilitz standing above the Brewers' dugout as batting practice started and said anyone in full uniform belonged on the field.

"I can't get you in the game but I can get you on the field," Cameron told him.

Once there, Bilitz met several players and played catch along the first-base line with Cameron.

"Fantasy camp doesn't start until February," Cameron later said. "So I figured I'd give him a treat."

Yeah it was my brother. He wore the uniform on Saturday and was at the Brewers hotel and the players were getting a pretty good kick out of it and Sheets son came running up to him and he talked to Sheets and Cameron for a while. Then on Sunday, Cameron saw him in the stands and told him to come down to the field. He watched like 45 minutes of BP while chatting it up with the players and played catch with Cameron for a while with Bill Hall's glove. Prince also offered to sign something for him so he got his retro bobble signed by Prince.

All-in-all it was a pretty memorable weekend for him.

Is he interested in going to Vegas? This guy is a walking rabbit's foot.

Stuff like this just seems to happen to him. He was in St. Louis last year or the year before and he saw a couple of Brewer players (Capuano and Eveland come to mind) at a restaurant and he had dinner with them and then got Eveland to take his ticket stub from Rickie and Prince's first major league home run game and have Rickie and Prince sign it and Eveland gave it to him the next day signed.

Oh and the whole Wheel of Fortune thing was incredible as well since he can't spell worth a darn and typically isn't good at those types of games, but he got picked in the auditions even though he really didn't intend on trying out, but his wife wanted to so he ended up doing it as a joke and got picked and then won. Some guys have all the luck.

I get a kick out of the title. Here we are, on a message board, talking about a guy dressed up in full Brewers gear. If he's a dork then we're all geeks. http://forum.brewerfan.net/images/smilies/smile.gif

He's my brother so I felt I could get away with it. http://forum.brewerfan.net/images/smilies/smile.gif I mean, c'mon. He's 31 and wearing a full uniform including turf shoes. It's bad enough to bring your glove to the game once you are over 12.

Yeah during the interview Trenni said she was rubbing him for good luck. If I was him playing catch with Cameron and meeting the players would be in the back of my mind. http://forum.brewerfan.net/images/smilies/smile.gif

...after reading this I see that I am clearly doing something wrong with my life.

Agreed. JenksFan, was your brother born with a rabbit's foot growing at the end of his leg, was it grafted on by doctors, or did his real foot mutate to fit the purpose?

I saw the interview on FSN yesterday. When I saw the headline calling him a "dork" I was going to rush to his defense (not knowing it was your bro)...being a Brewer-loving dork myself!!!

They're going to interview said dork on WTMJ in a few minutes.
