Brevard County is going to start relief pitchers and bring in their starters around the 3rd inning in attempts to develop a "nine inning mindset." Is it just me, or does this seem kind of dumb?

Old news bud, the entire lower Brewer system was doing this when Yo and Rogers broke in... they would flip flop piggy backing so both guys got to finish.

 

It has it's merits I guess.

Interesting piece by Adam McCalvy, nice job.

 

And while it may be old news in some sense, it's certainly new and pertinent in the official way they'll execute it here. It'll make for some interesting notations for starting pitchers in our Link Report menus, for sure.

 

Also news to note an eventual six-man rotation at AA coming up, a bit odd considering those starters outside of Donovan Hand are all older, and Hand hasn't been over-extended this season. Mike Jones' odd staus probably has something to do with that plan as well.
