Brewers Block Party

sgtcluels

This last Saturday was the first of the block parties. They split up the signers into to locations this year. I went to the Sherman Park one, thinking Sheets draw was pretty big and I wanted to ensure I got at least one autograph. But to my shock, I got all 5 (Cameron, JDilly, Shouse, Hall, Sedar AND Davey Nelson!). There were probably at most 100 people, which is down from a huge mob of people at last year events.

Anyone go to the Sheeters/Gritt/Bushy signing? Were there more people?

I went to Alcott Park and there were a lot of people, definitely way more than 100. I arrived around 11 and the lines for Sheets and Kendall were already really long. I got into a shorter line for Dave Bush. I didn't stay the whole time but I can't imagine everyone in line for Sheets and Kendall got autos. Nice time, though.

man, I was in town this weekend and should have thought about heading out to thise. I would have loved to get a Bush autograph on my t-shirt jersey and then frame it!

I was at Alcott Park. I got there pretty early, and was towards the front of the Sheets line. We were probably 25-30 back. I was able to get Sheets, Bush, and Skaalan. I would have been able to get DiFelice too, but we wanted to sit in the shade for a bit. The guy behind me was able to get Sheets and stand in the pretty long Kendall line, and make it through with about 5 minutes to spare. I would have estimated about 400-500 people at Alcott Park. It was a pretty nice set up.

Way bigger then Sherman park. When I got there around 10, I thought maybe I got the wrong spot, since there was no one there really! Anyways, pictures!

Cameron - Says he was going to try to run on it Saturday evening. Had a pretty good limp going. He spent a fair amount of time talking with Kids. Seems like a great guy.

Apparently I didn't get a picture with Ed Sedar. Sorry Ed!

Billy Hall - For all those Yahoo Fantasy players, I asked Bill to try to get a few more starts at Second to get eligibility. He laughed.

Shouse - He seems way shorter IRL.

I was at Alcott Park and thought it was definitely smaller than either of the two I went to last year, but there was still a decent amount of people there. We split up, one in the Sheets line, one in the Kendall line. I was in Kendall's line about 60 or so people back and that line trucked!!! I was through before my boyfriend took more than a few steps in the Sheets line.

DiFelice and Bush didn't really have lines when the players got there. The people that were the first through the Sheets and Kendall lines then went to the others. I got Kendall and DiFelice and went to join the Sheets line and probably waited another 30 mins before we got up to Sheets. We got there at 10.

Pics are on the camera at home, will post later tonight.
