This "Trachsel-stein"

Wouldn't he be called something like El Steve Trachinez?

I'm honestly pulling for the Cards in the final game, however much it guiles me to do it. Just can't cheer for a NY team, unless the Mets happen to be playing the Yanks in the World Series. Regardless of who wins, I'm an adopted Tiger fan for the Series.

That was one awesome catch by Endy Chavez. He may have just saved both Oliver Perez and Willie Randolph from some major bashing.

jump into wall while running, make snowcone catch, make laser-like throw to cut-off man. Chavez did it all right there. That play will be shown on highlight reels for years.

Thing is, what on earth was the runner on first thinking?

The whole play was a shout out loud play. Randolph's meeting at the mound. . .The first pitch to Rolen is absolutely smoked. . .Chavez makes a jai alai catch and then doubles Edmonds off of first. Unbelievable!

Considering the importance of this game, it was the play of the year.

That's an excellent question. The forecast is for rain pretty much from now until mid-day Friday. I suspect that they play through the light stuff until the field becomes unplayable.

Plus Billy Wagner should assure that the game doesn't go on too long.

I don't know about the rest of you guys, but I'd much rather see the Cardinals than the Mets.

That will make it 3 years in a row in the WS for the NL central, and I just can not stand New York teams. Especially the Mets. Throughout this whole broadcast (FOX) it seemed like the crew wanted the Mets to win.

When Yadier hit that homerun, my roommate and I - who are both big Brewer fans - yelled because we both wanted those Met punks to go down. At the very least I hope the NL doesn't get swept this year.

So, STL is now on the verge of its 90th win of the year. http://forum.brewerfan.net/images/smilies/mad.gif

If it turns out this way, I admit, I'll be grimly satisfied that it's another no-coast WS. But my hatred for the Cardinals is so great that I actually found myself feeling sorry for the Mets fans FOX keeps showing in the audience.

Ronnie Belliard in a World Series. Try to think about that.

Does. Not. Compute.

Remember: the Brewers never panic like you do.
