The Ryan Howard Thread (and strikeout watch)

splitterpfj

The all-time record for strikeouts in a season is 199, set just last year, by Ryan Howard. Howard's effort broke the prior record of 195 Ks, set by Adam Dunn in 2004 - Dunn also racked up 194 Ks in 2006.

To this point, Mr Howard has fanned 101 times this season - through 73 games. He is currently on a pace for 224 strikeouts, which would not only make him MLB's first ever bicentenntite, (ok, I made that word up), but it would also break his own record by 25 Ks!

Here's to you, Ryan Howard, you're among league leaders in runs, HR, and RBI, but no one, and I mean no one can swing and miss like you can.

Russell Branyan could, given a full year of AB. Howard is 2nd all-time in 3TO%, behind only the Manyan.

When Russell Branyan does a keg stand, he holds the keg above his head.
