Most Annoying Commercials Played During Brewer Games

Beast Light

I'm pretty sure they play it during games on the radio, I know they play it constantly on WSSP, but that George Webb commercial. It's on all the time. "Some of those famous George Webb's eggs and hashbrowns sound awfully good about now...ehhh, maybe that's just me" I think it's that last part that bugs me the most. I hate commercials that end like that.

The Good Feet store one with Bill Schroder saying maybe he coulda batted .250, then says "ehhh, maybe not"....or that other commercial with Bob Uecker going "tell em I sent you...ehhhh, maybe you shouldn't" terrible and annoying.

It really seems like anything local should not try to be humorous in their commercials, it never works. NEVER.

The one that gets me is the one where the car dealer is peddling his autistic son Spencer to buy a car from him. I taped it after I saw it after being so disgusted and surprised by the brashness of it.

You're absolutely right. I'm in the auto sales business and know this guy; he owns a ton of the undeveloped real estate area in Oshkosh but loses millions at his dealership the last couple years. I find the commercial to be incredibly offensive and recently saw a new one a couple weeks ago.

Jerry Garcia and his awful recipes. And really, who shops at Piggly Wiggly? I would like to, but there are like 3 in the whole area.

It's too bad that the quality has declined at Heaven City - one of the hidden treasures of southeastern Wisconsin.

I've mentioned this in another thread, but I CANNOT believe the shear volume of "Visit Minnesota" ads there are.

I also hate the Usinger's one Uecker does where he introduces each sausage and their starting position. There's an inexplicable laugh/giggle after he says "my pal, Frank Furter."

I could write a short novel about my hatred for the new Klements commercial with the family. And yes, I actually mean "hatred." I don't just get annoyed by that commercial; I get visibly angry to the point that I now lunge for the remote the second I see it come on.

It's sausage. SAUSAGE. Why are you showing me a mother bobbing her baby up and down? Is this supposed to indicate she feeds her infant child Klement's sausage? For that matter, what does family have to do with sausage in the first place? You're telling me that families should never run out of love. What's your point? You could also say that people should not exceed the speed limit, but it would have no place in a sausage ad. Top it off with an over-the-top corny song, and you've made one of the most irritating commercials I've ever seen.

Ugh. I think I feel a little better now.

I hate the one where the Cop pulls over his buddy and gives him a ticket for no seatbelt...mostly because it is played over and over and over and...
Absolutely. Bad acting, totally cheesy, not funny at all. And it is played it seems like every inning. I cannot stand that commercial.

Great call! Another public safety announcement that was out last year that bugged me every single inning was that drunk driving one with the guys driving all over the road in cars full of alcohol. It got old so fast.

That Badgers football commercial with the doctors performing a surgery and the Badgers score got pretty bad too

GUMS. BLOODSTREAM. HEART ATTACK.

yeah ok dude.

Is this the one everyone is talking about that they hate? I can't stand this commercial it drives me crazy.

I actually think that one isn't so bad, at least compared to other Klements commercials. Though, it initially bothered me because the song sounded too much like Rocky Top.

The implication, implicit as it may be, is that when your family runs out of Klements....they run out of love. Don't let your family fall into dysfunction; buy Klements sausages. (Yeah, I hate that ad.)

The Piggly Wiggly tailgate tips are annoying as well, but mainly due to a certain thread in the Political forum...

I really used to dislike "Sip all day...get tooth decay."

A few years later and I still hear it in my head constantly

The problem isn't the commercials themselves, it's the incessant repitition of what seems like five or six core ads both on TV and radio

We have a winner. That thing annoyed the heck out of me - especially the later incarnation where Bielema's fat head imploring me to "call my cable operator" looked like it was about to explode.

One that I don't hate but it is Ironic? May be the wrong word for it. It is the Miller commercial where the guy goes to the sky box at the game and when no-one knows the score he takes back the beer. Good stuff except for his line where he talks about his favorite pitcher "getting lit up, take him out, take him out". Look through the glass, all the fans are cheering which would lead you to believe that he is in a visitors stadium. Then he goes out and happily joins all the fans as if they are on the same team. For a commercial that is about being "genuine about baseball" they should have got it right...or maybe I think too much.

I usually catch most of my Brewers games on the radio, and I can honestly say that Miller Lite puts out some of the worst commercials year after year. However, this year's "Am I living the High Life?" radio campaign are probably the best spots they have had in years. On the other hand, why does Miller Lite continue to promote that it has less carbs than Bud Light? Do people still count carbs?

I listen in from 1150 in the Fox Valley, and their are a few that I can't stand.

1) Al Huss auto. The way this guy talks drives me crazy. Total yooper. "I'll treat your chhar like its my mhoooooms."- besides thats kinda creepy.

2) Marys in the Morning Marys in the evening Marys at Supper Time! - the guy they got to do the radio spots for this commercial says his R's like W's. "Mawy's homestywle cooking".

3) That "20 mil" wisconsin lottery. I turn off my radio when I hear that.

-------

Okay now have to talk about my favorite. Its during the game, when Uke tries to work in his 10 minute long Usingers spot into the broadcast. I love this, each day its different. Throw some crispy kraut on there or some silver creek chipotle mustard! Try em all! Mmmm Mmm!
