Metrodome Roll Call

Awesome time! I ended up getting to both Friday and Saturday games. Was anyone at Hubert's yesterday before the game? About 10 of us were in the outdoor area with buckets of mini-Coors Lights, I felt like just yelling out "Brewerfan.net!" to see what kind of showing we had there. The outdoor area was filled with Brewer fans.

I was at the game yesterday (Saturday) and it was my first time to the Metrodome and it really helped me appreciate the greatness of Miller Park. It's not that fun to have your seat angled towards centerfield and have to crouch over to see anything while sitting on the 3rd base line. Also, it gets so quiet in that stadium that I'm afraid to yell anything or security will escort me out. Even though the new Twins stadium will be outdoors, I'd take 10 game postponements per year over that dome thing.

I had a great time on Satuday. It was awesome to see Brewer Nation come out in big numbers. I especially loved the "Let's Go Brewers" chants. We had a lot of Brewers fans in our section and we all sang "Roll Out the Barrel" during the 7th inning stretch.

Sunday was a different story. There was absolutely NOTHING to celebrate.

I actually liked the MetroDome. It's so different from every other park and for me it was something of a novelty.

Just got home from Minneapolis about an hour ago and it was my first time ever at the Metrodome. I went to Saturday's game and sat in section 141 in left field. I was surrounded by mostly Brewer fans in the section and sat next to a hot blonde wearing an old school Brewers hat, so I will not complain about that game. I am 6'4" so the section I sat in on Saturday was much more friendly to me than today's game where I sat in section 225 and my legs were absolutely tucked in.

But I after watching today's game, I came to the realization that everyone on this team is absolutely lost offensively. I never seen such terrible timing of pitches. Slowey continued to throw pitches in the 90-91 range and yet no one knew what to do. How is that possible? I was about ready to yell. And it may just be me, but Fielder looks like he is ballooning more and more like that girl who turned blue in the Willie Wonka and the Chocolate Factory movie.

But the Metrodome seemed kind of blah to me, but it is what it is. I was less impressed with downtown Minneapolis than the Metrodome. I stayed at the Best Western Normandy Inn and downtown is absolutely terrible. All I saw were parking garages and run down bus shelters on the walk to the Metrodome.
