Do they play a whole 'nother 18 if they tie, or does it go hole-to-hole? This is by far the most golf I've watched in my life (over the whole weekend) and its actually entertaining. ESPN360 is quite good. Why can't MLB.TV have this good of quality?

You don't have an Adam Wainwright. Easily the best gentlemen in all of sports. You don't have the amount of real good old American men like the Cardinals do. Holliday, Wainwright, Skip, Berkman those 4 guys are incredible people

Said he's going to shut it down for awhile. I wonder how long before he plays again, he's made some 800 million he could just walk away and be done with it all.

Knee looks like it hurts pretty bad.

When is the British Open? that would be my guess. If not 2-3 months? I don't see him hanging it up, just because he seems like he has the desire to go out there and be the best.

July 17th is the start of the British Open. (Same weekend as US Bank.. guess no major stars coming would be my guess)

August 8th is the start of PGA Championship.

Ryder Cup is in September.

hmm.. maybe sitting out the British?

Simple amazing. I had the live shot by shot blog from golf.com on my work computer all afternoon and just kept refreshing. Just an amazing tourney, as much as I love Tiger I was kind of pulling for Rocco.

They are replaying the round right now on ESPN Classic.

He needs to go for 78 top ten finishes. I would be very impressed if he beats that record of Jack's.

Yeah, I saw that stat this weekend. Tiger has to finish in the top ten of every major until 2019 (or thereabouts) to match that. Unreal.

Just caught a little on ESPN. Apparently there was a stress fracture -- which he knew about 2 weeks ago. So he knowingly went out and played with it. Unreal.

Done for 2008. I wonder about this long-term -- 4 surgeries on one knee just isn't good.

Not only did he have a stress fracture, but it's now come out that he tore his ACL shortly after the British Open while jogging. He decided not to have surgery then and incredibly went on to win 5 of his next 6 events including the PGA and the Fed Ex Cup, then won his first 3 starts this year. The April surgery was just to clear up cartilage damage that developed after the torn ACL and apparently was designed just so he could play the Open.

Just when you think this guy can't really add any more to his legend, he does it.

Sort of puts into perspective Gallardo pitching an inning with a torn ACL.

Tiger Woods is the most amazing athelete I have ever seen in my life in any sport period. Really stinks for the PGA as many casual fans now won't care to tune in. I will still watch golf because I really enjoy it but it is gonna hurt not having the best guy out there. I just hope this next surgery doesn't hurt him long term. I want to see him chase down Golden Bears major's record.
