Does anyone else remember when Fox Sports did the Saturday Game of the Week showing the history of broadcasting baseball. I believe it was the Dogers at the Cubs. Each inning they progressed through history. I thought it was pretty cool. If they stuck with the same one for the whole game though, that could be frustrating.

Does Branyan's 3TO-ness help or hurt in this situation?

Pro - can't GIDP - high likelihood of scoring a run without swinging the bat or a lot by swinging the bat

Con - not likely to hit a sac fly - only way to score multiple runs is to go yard

I say it's good.

Edit:

I guess I feel like it's just not conducive to good baseball. Is it great we just had a 5 run inning? Sure. But it just seems impure to have a stadium where the ball jumps out like they're playing in a little league park. It just feels sacrilegious.

I agree, the stadium seems unnatural, almost like left field is a gimmick that was unneccessary.

Come on Ben, let's settle down.

Let's not forget the stupid "ACL waiting to happen" hill in center, plus the flag pole on the field of play.

Sheeter is looking sharp now

You don't have an Adam Wainwright. Easily the best gentlemen in all of sports. You don't have the amount of real good old American men like the Cardinals do. Holliday, Wainwright, Skip, Berkman those 4 guys are incredible people

Ned is seriously tempting fate here running Sheets out for another inning after how the last one went.
