Bleh at Counsell playing. At least Ned put him 8th.

I really fail to see how starting Counsell at second is an upgrade over Bill Hall. I would say their defense is a wash, though I'm sure Hall has better range, and their hitting is pretty similar....though Hall at least has the potential to hit for some power. Just doesn't make any sense.

I couldn't agree more. Look for this team to go anywhere they need Bill Hall hitting at least close to his ceiling which is a lot higher than Counsell's. He's not going to do that sitting on the bench. Counsell's done nothing offensively to justify playing over Hall. It's one thing to play a hot Branyan over Hall. It's another to play a .220 hitter with no power whatsoever over Hall.

OK I will stick up for Counsell who does little things many don't seem to notice. Maybe tonight if you watch to see if he advances a runner or works a count you'll see what so many in baseball appreciate. Sometimes the approach is what helps a team.

I'd like to see a win today so our ace tomorrow can try to secure a winning road trip.

I like Hart as a leadoff hitter. He has speed and some power which I like to see. He has a higher obp than weeks. I have called for this move for a while and i hope it works out.

Well, given their current road status, a .500 trip would feel like a winning trip, despite the nagging feeling that it should have been better.

For a kind of non-descript Wednesday game, this one seems like it could be importnat, if you beleive in momentum and all that. Of courtse, anyone who had been around the Brewers the past couple years probably pooh-poohs the idea of momentum, at least in terms of the positive variety.
