Hope everyone remains safe..

Iowa is just getting hammered again tonight. That will be us tomorrow.

Unfortunately, that weather turned tragic.

Y'all be safe up there.

How long did your Texas transformation take, craigharmann... 7 months? "Ya'll"? http://forum.brewerfan.net/images/smilies/wink.gif

I have to say that the first thing I picked up when I moved to Louisiana was "ya'll." Nothing points out your midwest nasal accent better than "You guys"

Thanks for having my back! I used y'all when I lived in Wisconsin here and there, and the funniest part of it was when we were moving, everyone thought both my wife and I were moving "back home". Only she was. I grew up in Wisconsin. Just didn't want to talk like one as much as I could!

jazzytrav, I recognize those apartments, where in Oshkosh are they?

On Taft Ave. right next to Oshkosh West H.S. Are you anywhere in the area?

That is exactly where I though it was, but wasnt sure out of context. Right near the tennis courts at OWHS, right?

Im on the East side by Menomonie Park, on Hazel.

There were apparently tornadoes sighted in Fond du lac. Our branch there just re-opened after closing for about ten minutes. After looking at the WISN radar, it's heading straight towards Oshkosh. In fact, everything is heading straight towards Oshkosh. I can't wait.

Stay safe Rydogg and other Oshkoshians.

If I had Braun's pee in my fridge I'd tell everybody.

I'm starting to get some water in my basement too. Not a ton, but definitely not cool. Had to go outside and create a makeshift extension for my gutter's downspout. Hopefully that will help until I can get to the Home Depot. Also found an enormous tree branch in front of my garage. How long is this stuff gonna last?

For crying out loud...the tornado watch Dane and counties to the south and east have been under since early afternoon just got extended to 2:00 AM.

Also, there is a flash flood warning for most every county in southern Wisconsin until 1:30 AM.

Who needs to be able to sleep through the night anyway?

Remember: the Brewers never panic like you do.

I've been lucky so far today. Had one strong storm with hail around 2:30. Just a few light showers on and off since then (and some sun here and there). Everything is passing just northwest of here (Muskego).

But I'm still drying out the basement from last weekend. Yesterday, I got some bags of dirt to build up some low areas around my house and 100 feet of corrugated pipe to extend my downspouts and sump pump discharge. Also keep checking the gutters to make sure they stay clear.

I live in BD, ive heard that a Tornado did infact touch down in Mayville. The piggly wiggly or something? Or the Napa...or something.
Wow. I hope no one was injured. I'm also reading that no one is supposed to be going out in Oshkosh until the floods subside. Unbelievable.

It's getting really ugly in Platteville for the third time today. It's a little more unnerving because it's dark out, but before the sun was setting, it was this odd yellowish-green color outside. The tornado siren went off for the fourth time about 5 minutes ago. I don't know what station to use for weather updates for town. The lightning is outrageous and is causing the streetlights to shut off. It gets eerily calm outside and it freaks me out.

Well I thought I'd share my story about the storms in Wisconsin (even though I live in Tennessee). A relation of my wife's family was helping to clean up the mess in the Madison area lakes (he's an electrician) and I guess his boss or his company screwed up and he ended up grabbing a live wire. This wire contained 75,000 watts and to be honest I don't know much about how he grabbed it or anything like that, but I do know he ended up at the burn clinic in Madison. The initial thoughts by the doctors were that his arms would be gone at the shoulder socket.

Now this to me was tragic. I really couldn't imagine having to deal with it. The doctors let his body rest and the news yesterday (it happened on Tuesday) was that he had feeling to the elbow in his right arm. The news today was that he had more or less full feeling in both arms and everything. He will end up losing a bit of two finger tips, but I have to say I'm very thankful for all this. It's things like this that if it ended up with him losing two arms trying to help out make this situation so bad.

That's right Craig. Here's an idea why:
