Awesome, a night game I'll be able to watch the entirety of after-work. Glad to see the Crew start to edge out to the Golden West a little, despite their problems here.

Anyway, I'd love to start the road trip off right and no better way to do it than Mr. Ben on the mound...let's make our Stopper the Starter

Reading through those stats, did you notice Corey Hart's K/BB ratio? 42/13. Roughly, that translates to 125k's and 40 walks for the season. He had a 99/36 ratio last year. While i'm not really worried about him, i just wanted to point out that Braun isn't the only one having trouble drawing walks. IMO, this is because we are a very young team. It will get better with time. How much better? I guess we'll see. While Hart has been a very good hitter with RISP, he isn't anywhere near Braun's level when it comes to hitting bad pitches. The more selective he can be, the better he will get. He's already pretty darn good!

Since moving to the NL in 1998, the Brewers have a combined record of 751-927. That's a .448 winning% (73 win season). I think it's safe to say that over the last decade, the Brewers have had a problem against everyone. http://forum.brewerfan.net/images/smilies/smile.gif

This is fun to look at, BTW:

Charlie Moore has the most games played at catcher? Wow I wouldn't have though that. The other guys seem right on though.

Does anyone else besides me get a little bit more pumped up for a game Sheets starts? It's like you never know if you might see something really special.

Someone on here a few weeks back was saying "I'm so sick of 82, Yount, Molitor, etc..."

And while I understand it a bit, how could anyone not fully appreciate Yount? I mean, forget the HOF stats - how many guys out there can claim to have played the most games at two different positions in the history of a major league franchise... ?

Yount was pure gold and a hero for more than a few of us growing up. I imagine that, had the internet and around-the-clock sports reporting been around while he played that Yount would have Favre-like lore in Wisconsin...

He almost does even without that kind of exposure...

EDIT: And since inside I'm still a 12 year old boy: Ubaldo = Usucko

True, but after watching them lose five games in person out here last year (including a devastating and completely demoralizing August sweep against the Giants), I can't help but feel like things are even more dire Out West!

Anyway, color me surprised that Jeromy Burnitz is the career games leader in RF for the Brewers

6 game roadtrip with Benny on each end...this sets up well.

Too bad Coors and Minute Maid Field aren't the best for flyball pitchers, but I'm not going to complain about two starts from Sheets. I'll say there's 16 total runs tonight.

It might have been me who was sick of 82' I know I have said that before. I would like to clarify though that I could never, ever get sick of Yount and Molitor. In my heart and mind they are just as big to me as Favre was as a Wisconsin sports hero. Not only were Yount and Molly super great players they statistically both always played every game with the effort that it was their last. Never taking a play off and always hustling at 110%. I just wish Sal Bando wasn't such a moron so Molly could have played his whole career in a Brewers uniform like Robin did.

summer vacation starts today!!!!

So, hopefully, the Crew will come out swinging and start my off-time from work with a bang. It doesn't help, though, that I'm sick as a dog and haven't enjoyed much of anything during the last week with students.

GO BREWERS!!!! (I may be watching but I might not be comprehending until I'm better!)

I'm off to take a nap. Hope I wake up in four hours.

While Randy Johnson - Seth McClung gives me a warm fuzzy feeling inside, tonight's match-up does quite the opposite.

Hey Prince, the atmosphere has a lower density in Denver than it does anywhere else. Please hit a 360' flyball that turns into a 363' home run somewhere in that bandbox.
