Wood Bats

I play in a wood bat only league and I'm looking to get my own bat......Anyone have any recommendations?

 

Maple is what is most popular in the league I'm playing in but I read some article online saying that maple isn't any better than ash and is bound to break more.

 

Also some guy on the team got a bamboo bat, but it stings bad and I don't care for it.

 

I think some of the brands I think I've used are IronWood, Mizuno, and an Easton.

 

Anyone have any recommendations?

Bob Uecker was talking about broken bats recently, and he was saying that he thought one of the reasons more bats have been breaking in recent years is that so many players have switched from ash to maple. I'd like to suggest getting what you're most comfortable with, but replacement cost is important, too.

I recommend one of the new Demarini Wood Composite bats. They are legal in wood bat leagues and are much, much more durable. What league do you play in?
