I watch Idol from time to time during the city tryouts part. I start losing interest when it gets down to the final 10 or whatever it is. Baseball season starts, weather gets warmer, and I don't find the voting part of Idol that interesting.

 

Can anyone please explain to me the hair style of the winner. Mohawks, dying your hair green, all that kind of stuff I can somewhat understand. But I don't get the half hair plastered to the side of the face and the other half sticking up. It reminds me of the kid back in school who looked like he had not showered for weeks. Why would anyone purposly want that look?

I guess a testament to its success would be the album sales found by some of the alums the last few years. In 2007, Daughtry had the top selling album while Carrie Underwood's was 5th. In 2006, Underwood's album was #3 for the year in sales and in 2005 Kelly Clarkson came in at #3.

 

As far as bankable success goes, I'd say that's pretty good
