Last year Bob Melvin lead Counsell off and has huge amt of respect for him playing the game the right way. It seems JJ is the only player working counts and Counsell can better in the 2 slot. I'm very interested seeing if those two can set a trend today.

Of course he doesn't. I don't think he thinks he does. Jamie does it as "comic relief", which is nice. I don't see what your problem is. It is a game thread on a freaking message board.

 

If you think you need to "protect" a baseball team from sarcastic humor, I would suggest that you find a new hobby. I don't see what your beef is.

I am not protecting the team or anyone. Whether that was funny or not, there's not point except to make the people who are freaking out feel better. You must be one of them and I am sorry to hear that. I hope you make it through easter if they lose today. I know the pain this could cause. Thanks for worrying but I will be fine simply hoping for a brewer win and eating the feast with my family. Please do the same.

I'm not freaking out, nor do I ever. I don't even think the reverse psychology thing is funny. However, I can accept that there are people who do. I just don't understand how a person can take a game thread on a message board seriously - as if there is some kind of standard that is expected of it, or something.

 

I think I predicted the team would win 76 games. The people that are freaking out are ones who picked them to win 96. I have no idea how 5 games can make people who thought the team was that good could make them change their minds. For you to imply that I'm a fairweather fan or something is silly.

 

This is why IGT's kind of suck.

If you feel it is pointless, there is no need to point out that you feel it is pointless. Because you are pointing out (what you perceive to be as) nothingness. And is anything more pointless than pointing out nothingness?

Ooof, another day off for Hart? If you need to give Hall a day off, fine, but why not just start Gross in CF then and leave Jenkins and Hart as is?

 

Because Hart is suckin the big donger, that's why.

 

But yeah, let Gwynn leadoff and bat Weeks somewhere where all the K's make sense, like an Adam Dunn slot somewhere.
