Mark A. Says he can spend on a top notch pitcher

If Ben Sheets makes some cringe with injuries, AJ Burnett wouldn't be too welcome, either.

we're just talking about 0.5 to 1.5 seasons; that reduces the risk a lot, particularly if he is already fully healthy when acquired.

One thing you have to remember about the Giants and a potential trade is that they have an insane amount of good pitching but not too many hitters. This is what i would call a good fit for us.

 

I would only be interested in Cain or Lincecum, but the fact that they have younger unproven guys ready to step up might make it an easier trade on their part.
