As I mentioned in Friday's game thread, it doesn't look like this one was ever planned to be on TV...so, we can't blame the Bucks for this one.......seems silly to leave a Saturday night game against the rival Cardinals off the schedule..but...whatever...let's hope for rain and doubleheader baseball on Sunday!

Can someone lemme know why Sheets isn't starting since tonight's game was rained out? I'm assuming he's gonna go Sunday ...I'm sure there's a logical explanation for all this, mostly giving Benny an extra days rest, but wouldn't it be better to see him go tomorrow so he can get maximum starts in the long run since he's already getting 6 days rest?

Hey, Woogie.

Where are you getting the Braun defensive stats?

"Dustin Pedroia doesn't have the strength or bat speed to hit major-league pitching consistently, and he has no power......He probably has a future as a backup infielder if he can stop rolling over to third base and shortstop." Keith Law, 2006

I'm just looking at the game logs, and adding them together from that. I have just been combining the Put Outs and Assists together. He has more like 8 Assists and 1 Put Out, I might try to update that and separate it out.

I have updated Ryan Braun's defensive stats to include Assists, Put Outs, Double Plays. I have also included in there Singles to Ryan Braun, which show the number of base hits to Ryan. By looking at that stat he has quite a few singles hit at him, and they were not bunts.

As for the singles on Braun, they all seemed to be on the infield, I don't know if they were spectacular plays where he got a glove on a ball he shouldn't have, or if they were just bad plays.

Edit: Your right whizkid about the DP thing. I wasn't thinking, thanks for the heads up by the way!

bump up Suppan's start so I can go the whole year without ever seeing him pitch

Good one. Seems that way.

I can't remember in the past having as many Bucks conflicts. Is it just because they stink so bad and the Brewers excitement is so high? Were there just as many conflicts in the recent past?

I'm bummed about the time move and not seeing it.

I think it's because in the past the games weren't being put on WMLW and FSN statewide. So they had no telecast of any sort on the same night as a Bucks telecast. Now, with the WMLW deal, they do, and since those games are supposed to be carried statewide on FSN, there are times when the Bucks interfere.

I have also added Range Factor and Zone Rating for Braun's Fielding Stats. The Zone Rating may be a little skewed because I had to make personal judgment on what Ryan's defensive zone was and how many plays he had to make out of his zone. I hope this helps you get a better understanding on his defensive stats overall.

We are having a combo birthday party today for one of my son's and his cousin at my sister-in-laws. Needless to say I am the biggest brewer fan in the family. It would have been much easier to catch the game on TV than find a radio that I can put on without anyone complaining. And my wifes family can party for awhile so it is quite possible I may miss most or all of the game.

At this point I just hope they play tonight and I will find a way, even if I have to sneak on their computer and follow on line and log into chat on here. I can't take 2 days without the Brewers...that is why I hate the All-Star break! And this year the break is 4 days, that's just not right.
