Link Report for Sat. 5/10 -- Stars' Lineup Absolutely Relentless

It is crazy to look at the stats for the Southern League. A Star is at the top of pretty much every category and most of them are topped by Gamel and LaPorta both. The Stars pitchers are fairing well to with Hammond resurrecting his career, Miller pitching well, and Narron.

Not only are LaPorta and Gamel dominating their league they are near or at the top of the OPS, HR, AVE, and Slugging.

Check out the team batting stats:

I think the Stars lead in every positive category except walks and stolen bases.

"Dustin Pedroia doesn't have the strength or bat speed to hit major-league pitching consistently, and he has no power......He probably has a future as a backup infielder if he can stop rolling over to third base and shortstop." Keith Law, 2006
