I just dread facing the Pirates. Some of their young pitching is starting to step up. They had a winning record in the second half of last season, and they are playing with lots of confidence right now.

 

I am really curious to see if the Brewers will play well in this series. Will it be the same old stuff or is this truly a new year?

 

The hitters need to think "opposite field" if they want to have success against a guy like Paul Maholm.

Maholm is garbage and Duke is a glorified Doug Davis. The Pirates offense is downright horrible... this is one of those series we need to sweep if we're really a contender.

Well, when the Pirates are horrible, they own us. So here is to hoping that since they are reasonably warm, they stink up the joint. Anybody know if they are stealing signs this year?

 

As for sweeps, this is a must sweep homestand. As a matter of fact, if we fail to sweep this homestand the whole coaching staff should be fired and the team replaced with the Sounds.
