Man I hate to say it, but it was nice that I was busy tonight and didn't get to see any of the game. These games are tough to watch, bad pitching and even worse offense. Please can one of our pitchers give us a quality start? Is that asking too much?

I"m pretty sure I'll be watching Scrubs and The Office tonight instead of the Brewers game. I can't stand another frustrating night where I think back, "Wow I just wasted these last 3 hours."

I wouldn't mind if Villanueva copied his last start against the Marlins. Unfortunately for the Brewers offense, that means they'd have to score at least 3 runs if they want to win.

Gotta love the cheap shot by Rotoworld. "Weeks has hit 5 home runs, which is a pace he won't maintain." Your right because Rickie has never shown power in his entire career. Give me a break. Anyways this will be the 1st game of the year that I will not watch. Im going to my buddies game. Hopefully I have to keep checking my phone because the Brewers are making it interesting.

Please don't let the Marlins sweep us http://forum.brewerfan.net/images/smilies/frown.gif

This was so much easier to take a few years back... but now it's so painful. I think Yost is just the type of manager that can inspire and get more from a young team with low expectations. He's just not the type that can take a team who is expected to win and actually win.

How is Yost even being brought up right now as a problem? The Brewers are sucking because most of the starting lineup and starting rotation are sucking. Maybe you guys should be focusing more on whether guys like Braun, Weeks, Parra and Villy are as good as some might have thought entering the season.

Is this what you were expecting from them? Yost is being brought into this because of his poor in-game management and poor all around decisions. The team needs a change. I'm not a huge fan of the manager making decisions by the flip of a coin.

How the hell is our team OPS over .700?

Sadly, it's probably because of Kapler's and Kendall's super-hot starts. It'll probably dip below .700 tonight http://forum.brewerfan.net/images/smilies/frown.gif.

The team needs a change.

Yes, we need the players to start hitting and pitching better. That's bound to happen at some point but don't expect firing Yost and bringing in a new manager to generate offense.

I've thought about this myself. One of my thoughts is that maybe Yost just cannot gameplan and/or adjust the gameplan based on the opposing managers gameplan. Another thought is maybe the players just don't like Yost and can't stand the sight of him anymore. Could this contribute to poor player performances? I think so. When I really think about a time when I didn't understand where my manager/boss was coming from, my performance may have suffered (being uninspired to do well) due to that person. Imagining Ned Yost as an unlikable character is not a stretch for me. Then again, that thought is probably biased, because I just don't like Yost and can't stand the sight of him anymore. Free the Brewers!! Get a bleeping win!

My prediction: Marlins complete the sweep, final score 7-2, Brewers scratch out 3 hits with two being solo HRs (one by Braun, one by Hall), Florida pitchers record 12 Ks, Brewer pitchers walk 7, Ned leaves Villy in during the Marlins 6th which starts BB-2B-HR-HR-BB, Ned pinch hits with Gwynn in the 7th with the bases loaded and two out. I think I have seen this game before, so again I am thankful I have plans tonight.

I can't watch the game until I get home (thank you, Tivo--although maybe I won't be so thankful) due to our school's Route 66 themed Book Fair Family Night/Car Show. Ugh. I have to stay until 7 pm local time, which is about when the game is over.

Guess I'll be sneaking back to my classroom a few times to check things out here and on Gameday.

I don't get it, but nothing seems to make sense about this team lately. Maybe this will work

Lineups per TH's JSonline blog:

2B Rickie Weeks

CF Mike Cameron

1B Joe Dillon

LF Ryan Braun

SS JJ Hardy

3B Bill Hall

RF Gabe Kapler

C Mike Rivera

P Carlos Villanueva

Remember all those games (especially in Houston) where they had the bases loaded and never scored in those innings. Add in the solo HR's and you have a not so bad looking OPS yet under an performing offense and a losing record.

All these "the same bad things will keep happening" IGT predictions always prompts me type "mlb odds" into google. Whenever it starts feeling like the Brewers will never win another game, I generally calm the nerves by looking at what Vegas thinks. Vegas basically see tonights game is a coin flip, which is really just the collective opinion of thousands of people willing to put their money where their mouth is. Collectively, they are very smart people. They should be trusted.

The Brewers are a 3 game winning streak from being 2 or 3 games out of first and they have a 50% chance of starting that streak tonight. And since my 7 month old daughter will be attending her first game on Saturday (at least, outside the womb), the Brewers have 100% chance of winning that one. Almost there!
