Didn't we have pretty good success against Oswalt last year?

You don't have an Adam Wainwright. Easily the best gentlemen in all of sports. You don't have the amount of real good old American men like the Cardinals do. Holliday, Wainwright, Skip, Berkman those 4 guys are incredible people

I just went through the schedule and noticed that we have faced the team's ace in every series. You have to count the Giants series since Zito pitched. That definitely should even out somewhat over the course of the season.

On top of that the Brewers have had the toughest schedule thus far according to ESPN's SOS formula:

Keep it close against Oswalt and win it against the bullpen. I'm definitely not expecting a high-scoring game, but anything can happen in that Little League ballpark.

Blech, in all of yesterday's fun and excitement I hadn't even noticed that the Crew are up against Oswalt tonight until just now...it really is always something, isn't it?

Like others have said, given our success in the past, I think we can keep it close through 6 or so and take it in the later innings...I'm still waiting for just when El Caballo is gonna have his big crack-back game against the Brewers

Maybe it's only the lower profile ex-Brewers who are destined to bite the Brewers in the rear - like the Wes Helmses and Victor Santoses of the world.

Remember: the Brewers never panic like you do.

When is the last time Prince had a day off?

Looking at those stats up there, tonight might be a good night for Prince to come in later as a pinch hitter after Oswalt is gone.

Monday http://forum.brewerfan.net/images/smilies/wink.gif. Even if it's only 37 at bats, I'm surprised to see Bill Hall hits so well against such a solid right hander. If Villaneuva can limit his walks I'll feel pretty confident about this game. Hopefully their winning ways on the road will continue and they can take this series!

We better win tonight.

I need anything to get my mind off of the doom that is the Gallardo injury. A win today would go a long ways towards that. I am still fairly confident that we can compete, although it just became much harder.

Yeah, I'm trying not to be gloom-and-doom about this, but I hope the team doesn't go into an emotional funk over this news which translates into uninspired on-the-field play

I'm seriously considering not even watching tonight, I'm so down about the Gallardo mess. Was on the road all day and didn't hear the news until just before I got home. Having gone down this road with my own kid losing a season over the winter, it's just really depressing. Weird thing is, having seen her land on the videotape, I had no idea how Gallardo wasn't injured yesterday making the same landing. I guess he was.
