I think it was a "sort" of hit-and-run jump, not an actual hit-and-run, meaning that Hart decided to take the chance that Counsell would make contact. I see what you are saying, though.

So it was more of a "hope-and-run"? http://forum.brewerfan.net/images/smilies/smile.gif

"Run-and-hope" is probably more like it.

Well Counsell might have swing if it wasn't so far inside. I think its the right call but he is not going to swing at that.

I hate how the Brewers pitchers always do Zambrano a favor by throwing him curveballs.

He had a couple of hits off of Sheets last year on curves and he just goes the other way.

exactly! he looks bad on two fastballs and you go with a curve. with the outside corner this ump has he can go mostly fastballs and just keep doting it.

I know this has been pointed out before, but really, what is the deal with the crowd getting all excited about routine fly balls at Wriggly? Does it have to do with the way the acoustics and sightlines are in the ballpark, or is everyone that drunk at 2 o'clock in the afternoon?

It's because they aren't hardcore baseball fans. You should see the hooting and hollering in the bleacher at The Keg every time Prince hits a pop up to 2nd base.

PS. I hate Carlos Z.

The poster previously known as Robin19, now @RFCoder

EA Sports...It's in the game...until we arbitrarily decide to shut off the server.

I just peeked at Gameday and saw the home run for Satan. The worst kind of run to give up in a Hothead start!

(In my office we've decided that all that gameday picture of Hothead needs is little horns.)

Remember: the Brewers never panic like you do.

the cubs have an amazing record when their pitcher gets a hit. they also have an amazing record when they score first. combining these two facts, i would say this game is pretty much over

Yeah no way we can come back from a one run deficit in the top of the 4th. Are we still smarting from last night?
