I haven't seen anything from Sveum in this year or last that makes me think he's a valuable part of this coaching staff. Yet the guy we had a problem with last year was....Leyva?

this is a great post. I thought leyva was a really valuable guy on the staff. Real major league managing experience. Sveum had to go in the witness protection program for moves like this in boston. How in the world could you send him there with prince coming up.

I'm only on Gameday, so I didn't see the call by Sveum, but they have a definete philosophy to take chances and challeng outfielders this year. It's not just Sveum, it is a conscious decision to be aggressive by the team.
