I saw Spurling in AZ pitch 2 times, and he was horrible both times. I've seen him pitch now, what?, 3 times during the regular season... and he has been garbage. Time to start the revolving door to AAA again?

Shouse is very good vs. lefties and not too good vs. righties, so yes, he should generally function as a LOOGY. This is not the type of game where you ask him to pitch a full inning.

That’s the only thing Chicago’s good for: to tell people where Wisconsin is.

how about a few insurance runs.

Stephen Randolph? I didn't know this guy was still around.

EDIT: YES! Estrada with the bomb from the Right side! I guess that's why Randolph hasn't pitched in the majors in a while.

Quote:
why would he even put him (Spurling) in there...there were other options, especially after the day off yesterday

Because he knew the next batter would be a lefty and shouse would come in so didn't want to waste a better RP would be my guess.

Sweet Estrada fixed his OPS http://forum.brewerfan.net/images/smilies/smile.gif

You guys who kill Rickie and Counsell should realize that Bill Hall is the guy not getting the job done now. Besides a 5 game hot streak, he has been far below average both defensively and offensively.

I say drop him in the order for Menchkins for awhile.

I would agree with dropping Hall a spot or two.

Ueck with the "True dat" quote again. First time I've heard that.

I realize that Crap Iron would probably have made a move there, but what's with letting three straight lefties hit against a lefty? Are we saving the righties for something special?

Just curious. Well, that and greedy. I'm greedy. http://forum.brewerfan.net/images/smilies/happy.gif
