Ive seen Looper and now I have seen Wells. I'll update all the graphics for Wells, because I'm sure thats who it is.

The Cardinals' website now says Wells, so an update seems prudent. As a zillion other posters have already said before, nice work, Woogie.

Stupid to think about in terms of what is really relevent but how do you guys think the Cards will come out on Monday. I know not everyone believes in getting fired up or whatever, but this might give the Cardinals a sprark. Not saying I believe in such things but how do you think the death of a teamate will effect this series?

And That..I agree..

But we do have Soup going tomorrow. He'll be pitching with a heavy heart too. On the field there still will be a baseball game, and that's always a good thing.

I don't even know if this post made sensehttp://forum.brewerfan.net/images/smilies/smile.gif

The whole situation is sad, but I don't feel that posters should feel selfish for caring about baseball or a Brewers win. In my opinion, one of the worst things to do when something like this happens is to stop being who you are. There is no reason to apologize for being a Brewer fan or a baseball fan. That is who you/I/we are, and tragedies cannot really change that unless you let them. Have class for the Cardinals, but it is okay to care about baseball. I would never demand that anyone stop caring about the sport over me and, though I obviously never knew him, I doubt that Mr. Hancock would have ever asked people to stop caring because of him.

I am a Brewers fan and I will act accordingly. I don't have any shame in feeling that this is more of a tribute than mournful lamentation ever could be.

Might sound selfish, but I wish we weren't the team after the fact.

Indeed. Along with my sympathy for STL and the Hancocks, I am feeling some regret that the Brewers finally have an ESPN appearance, yet will be an afterthought no matter how the game goes (blowout win, or Soup no-hitter, or each Brewer in the lineup hits for the cycle and turns an unassisted triple play). This is merely a bummer and pales in comparison to the larger loss, but it's still a bummer.

I suppose the (very slight) silver lining is if the Brewers really tank, they'll still be an afterthought.
