Are the Brewers having the greatest mustache contest ever?

After watching the game tonight after I had missed the last few due to work, it dawned on me, the Brewers are doing what any group of 20 something guys with too much time on their hands have done, they are having a mustache contest. Is there any other explanation for Fielders new manicured look or Hart. At least these guys are keeping it loose, I only wish Rickie and Hardy would participate. At this point, I would say Fielder or Kendall are winning, but I see some potential with Hart, he is just too creepy with a stash to be counted out.

I second the Villanueva. Perhaps they all are worried about being sent down when Cameron gets back and they're all trying to endear themselves to the Big 'Stache, Doug Melvin. And I believe Hardy has entered the contest. And also, what is up with every 'stache having the token matching soul-patch? Last year, we had the beard, this year, we have the 'stache.

That's a great 'stache on Villy, I didn't notice the players' facial hair on Tuesday, with the exception of Prince. I dig the 70's look that he has going on. The fro, mustache/soul patch, and big sideburns. Awesome.

Also, Gagne's chin-only goatee is bigger than anything Geoff Jenkins managed to grow. He almost looks like the real-life version of Mugatu from Zoolander.

From what I recall, Hardy is participating, unless he shaved it before last night's game. I didn't really see him much last night. I know Braun hasn't gotten one yet, but him and Weeks are the only few that I know of.

 

BA and Schroeder were wondering if Yost was growing one. That'd be something to see!

I've been talking about this with a lot of my friends and here are some of the comments (I played football at one of the WI state schools and we used to all grow mustaches during two a days to help us get through it. It was hilarious)

 

Prince looks like he should be playing guitar for some 70's funk band.

 

Parra's mustache looks like the kid in 5th grade who has a fuzzy mustache

 

Kendall looks like a porn star or a biker (I thought it was hilarious when Villy said, "Jason, don't come out to the mound because I will just laugh in your face.")

 

Corey Harts flesh colored stache is flat out funny. He said he was thinking of dying it. Ha.

 

Counsell for sure can't grow one. He probably started one and then after a week with only 7 hairs coming in he got said and shaved, then told the guys he just wasn't going to do it

Kendall had the stache coming into the season and got off to the hot start. Much like everybody in "The Natural" putting something on their bats (and the bolt on their sleeves) the team seems to be going for the stache juju. Most of them look like Kendall's (stache with the soul patch), so that is the theory that I am going with.

 

For the, the correct answer on Villa's stache is that it makes him look like a 7th grader trying to grow facial hair; and succeeding.

I think the brewers' facial hair is great as well, but doesn't match the look Jason LaRue was sporting for the cardinals this week. With the long stache and the hair he looks like a '70's player for sure.
