In this thread earlier...did someone seriously say Gross is in better shape then Kapler?

 

I said he's taller & more athletic.

 

 

That CB from Hamels was sick. Nice to see Fielder calmly get an explanation/talk it over.

The calls don't even really matter to a certain degree. 2 on with zero outs and zero runners advanced is the main point. It was a bad pitch to Prince, but you can't really win too many close games when you don't take advantage of 2 guys one with zero outs. They were pretty solid in that regard early on so hopefully it's just a fluke.

Wow that was an awful call.

Bill sounds in mid-season form calling out the very questionable strike zones. Gameday seems to be much more accurate this year, and it had that pitch 4" further outside than the pitch called a ball earlier in the same at bat.

It matters to the extent that we can't teach our guys proper plate discipline if they keep getting hosed like that. I'm really sick of that crap, call the game right. Reed saw the pitch, had a little moment, reacted immediately, and he's just flat-out not doing his job.
