I'm pretty impressed with Kapler. I've gotta admit, before the last few weeks I always had this concept of Kapler as a cocky musclebound jerk (don't ask me why). He really sounds like a thoughtful, kind, team-focused guy. With his experiences with Greenville talking to the players about their lives and grounding them, it sounds like he'll be a great bench coach some day.

 

He also had a very "Capuano"-esque perspective on Milwaukee as a city and as a baseball town, and given his words about his time in Japan, he seems to have that open-minded outlook on life in general, too.

 

Wish Rome had asked him about his injury and the Brewers as a team though.
