In early May of 2004, I went to Shea Stadium on a Saturday afternoon to see a little Brewer baseball and what transpired was the craziest game I'd ever been too.

Anyone remeber this? Adrian Hernandez started got pulled in the 5th having given up no hits, but had walked 7? Adrian also batted right-handed in his first plate apperance, but went lefty after that.

We gave up little only 2 hits, but 4 runs thanks in large part to Hernadez's walks. Brewers won 6-4. Wild Game

Yes. Very well. Didn't Kinney come in out of the pen in that game and kind of save the day?

These are the type of games that Ben Sheets is being paid to win. How about a nice statement game from Sheets. Let's get a "W" and show everyone that Sheets is worth the money.

GO BREWERS.

Yes indeed, Sheets needs to step up and pitch like an Ace #1 pitcher tommorow

will this game be shown on FSN or just people living in Milwaukee?

That's what I want to know! Charter Cable in Madison lists Brewers Baseball from 12-3 PM tommorow but I don't know if that's tommorow's game or a replay from tonight/ (They show replays at noon the next day alot)

They never show replays of the previous game when there's a day game the next day.

I don't know why some people don't believe that the game will be on FSN outside the Milwaukee area, they used to do this with Ch 24 and MSC/FSN all the time. Once the Bucks season mercifully ended, the scheduling conflicts did too.

"Sheets - 8.0 IP, 4 H, 1 ER, 8 K, 0 BB

Cordero - 1.0 IP, 3 H, 1 ER, 1 K, 0 BB, BS, W"

how is this possible? or are you neglecting to put the 10th inning on here?

This is the type of pitcher that in the past would post a line like

8 IP, 4 hits, 1 BB, 1 ER, 10 K's with the win. And then never be heard from again.

Lets just hope these are not the same old brewers.

Sheets last 4 starts:

22.1 IP, 2.42 ERA, 1-0, 13 K, 6 BB, 2 HR

For those who think he hasn't been excellent. Once his K rate picks back up, he's pretty much going to be scary. Today would be nice for that. That said, they could get swept in NY, and it doesn't mean anything (unless you're a media member who thinks a season hinges on three games in May)- which is cool.

They're really good and so are the Mets, I just don't see what the big deal is about this game, and why Sheets "needs" to "prove" he's a good pitcher.
