I'm trying not to give too much info or myself away, but I have to say that the team is very, very bad. They don't have the talent to win. The whole operation looks to be done on the cheap, from what I can figure. It has felt like someone had the idea for Gilbert and the team and went with it, but didn't have ANY clue about what it took to actually accomplish the goal on a day-to-day basis. They're severely understaffed front-office wise. It has also always seemed like they focused on the wrong details. There's a dance team/cheerleaders. There's pyrotechnics. There's an event production company involved/sponsoring. Every game it was announced that there was post-game at Turner's and then after that a party at a club. But there's no product on the field. I think they were way over their heads and Gilbert, et al were sick of being embarrassed.

They had about a zero percent chance of making it past this year as a franchise especially with the new indoor team coming to the Bradley Center next year which is a higher league then the Bonecrushers. I went to the family night about a month ago and the only thing worth noting was that there were desent looking cheerleaders all over the stadium.

from what i understand and have heard, it is completely the owner's fault for this team turning into an absolute disaster. i know the GM personally, and Ive heard that the team is owned by a couple of guys that in no way should be running a pee-wee football team, much less the Bonecrushers.

once again, this is what i heard:

the GM/Gilbert was told yesterday to fire their Offensive and Defensive coordinators for no good reason, and when they refused, the situation got out of hand and now all 4 of them resigned. Bottom line is those guys who are running the team are morons and have no business running a professional football franchise.

Good for them for leaving, because this franchise is already a complete failure. I hope they dont win a game.

We had one of their marketing people posting back in January or so didn't we? I seem to remember he had the Bonecrusher avatar and he was promoting tickets and events.

Maybe he will come around and shed some light on this.

Edit-Just did a search, it was "Drick23".

"His whole life is a fantasy camp. People should plunk down $2000 to live like him for a week. Sleep, do nothing, fall ass-backwards into money, mooch food off your neighbors and have sex without dating... THAT'S a fantasy camp."

I must have missed this, but what team is coming next year to the Bradley Center, and which league will the play in?

Getting off-topic, but why are there so many indoor football leagues? Why do people think it is a good idea to start a new league when 253243 others have failed?

Since we have indoor football teams in every city in the US, they should set up a huge inter-league cup competition where every team from the real AFL down to these crappy regional leagues are allowed to participate. Something like that might generate a bit more interest than watching the Milwaukee Bonecrushers battle the Lehigh Valley Outlawz every week.

Joe Panos and a group got an afl2 team to play in the bc next spring. Thats the same league the green bay blizzard plays in.

I think they're supposed to be called the Milwaukee Iron.

The league the Bonecrushers are/were in is like the third step down the line. This new team is supposed to be the second step down. The Bonecrusher guys aren't and never were professionals. They got paid like $100/week. This new team is supposedly going to have better talent.

It seems there were a lot of commitments not going well for this team. They were supposed to practice at the Ulhein Soccer Park, which is also where the Milwaukee Wave practice (6800 Good Hope Rd)., which is a very nice facility. I attended a flag football practice the other night at the Franklin Sports Complex. It was my first time there and I was not impressed with the facility. I was surprised to see Gilbert and the bonecrushers there. Something must have been up already because Coach Brown was sitting on his arse in the snack bar area, if you want to call it that and the team was conducting drills on the field. He looked like he didnt want to be there. I am also waiting for some explanation from Drick23, and wondering what it will mean for the colossal rivalry the Bonecrushers have with the Chicago Slaughter. I was also hoping to hear from Coach Brown on 1250 WSSP this morning, but alas, not a word. They want to call this product "professional" football, yet I've seen nothing "professional" out of this organization yet.

i always love a good conspiracy theory, anyone else think its remotely possible that the owner brought in brown to sell tickets and knew they were getting rid of him. it seems odd that the new head coach was supposed to be the head coach until they hired brown. he really had no qualifications to be a head coach minus playing tackle for the packers. his name probably sold more tickets than any actual player.
