If Weeks was benched and TGJ didn't play who would leadoff?

The fastest guy on the team? That should please the "traditionalists". The young stud that has a history in the minors of hitting? That should please the "Sabermetrics". The hottest hitter? That should please "The Others".

How about the guy that fits all 3 categories?

I really like this lineup. I think the way Corey is finding ways to get on base helped Ned make this decision relatively easy. Also, I would propose that after he sits Rickie for a day or two, he moves him down in the order (preferably the 7 spot) and allows TGJ or Hart to leadoff for awhile. I like seeing Hart get 3 straight starts. How else is the kid going to build his confidence and produce consistently if he's played sparingly?

Hart played quite regularly in April. He has only been used sparingly lately because of his wrist injury. I'm guessing that he is healthy now, and therefore will be back to regular playing time.

The paper today said that Yost plans to play Hart more, now that he is completely healthy. The wrist kept him out of the lineup for most of the past month.

Even though I like Gwynn, I'm glad to see this is the reason Hart has been sitting, as I feel he's the better player of the two.

Interesting that for the second day in a row the #2 batter attempts a sac bunt after the leadoff man gets on. Who is this Atlanta coach that plays small ball? Doesn't he know that you can't win by playing small ball? I bet this guy won't have much of a career as a manager.

and ESPN's scoreboard thing is down as neither early start games have registered as starting yet.

Sometimes I wonder what good is the internet as a "real-time" information gateway.

I may be wrong but I think the Saber crowd would prefer the high OBP guy.

Kind of weird hearing the TBS guys praising the Brewers' scouting and farm system so much this early. They even mentioned Yo...they butchered his name and called him "Yovanny Gallyardo", though. Oh well. No such thing as bad publicity, right?

Edit: Casey mentioned another one. They tried saying his name about 3 times in a row and it came out 3 different ways. Kinda funny.
