As Moe once said to Homer, "I'm really more of a well-wisher, in that I wish you no specific harm."

I generally wish lil' Wes well, but not Thursday.

For those of you watching at home, the spirited group in the front of 204 will be my employees and I, ready to catch whatever Prince hits our way. http://forum.brewerfan.net/images/smilies/smile.gif I will, of course, be sporting a bf.net shirt.

Remember: the Brewers never panic like you do.

Well I picked up Obermueller on my fantasy team a couple weeks ago just for fun, so I should probably start him as that has been an almost foolproof way to make sure a player is going to completely underproduce.

Agreed. Jenkins-Hall-Hart should be the everyday OF...even against lefties. Play Mench for Jenkins occassionaly against above average lefties like the D-train's, Randy Johnson's and Cole Hamels of the world.

TGJ is a solid pinch hitter and late inning defensive replacement. Still get him and Gross about 1 start a week...but 80% of the time it should be Jenks-Hall-Hart.

I hope we lay an 8 or a 9 spot on Wes, but I can't be the only one concerned about how by just looking at the pitching matchup this appears to be an easy W for us.

Here is the lineup I would like to see today:

1. Rickie Weeks- 2B

2. JJ Hardy- SS

3. Ryan Braun- 3B

4. Prince Fielder- 1B

5. Geoff Jenkins- LF

6. Bill Hall- CF

7. Corey Hart- RF

8. Johnny Estrada- C

9. Claudio Vargas- P

Im sure it wont happen since Yost is in love with Estrda batting 5th.

If Obby beats us i think i will blow my tv up tonight.

I agree i would like to Jenks hall Hart almost everyday and Gwynn can come in for defense.

PS If vargas does not pitch well does anyone think will see Yo next time around

We have not be lucky aganist Fla but here Hoping .

We need to make Wes throw strikes.

Agreed. 42% of hit pitches this year have been balls and he's averaging over 4 pitches/PA. I hope the batters are patient early in the game, to see if Wes will give them some free passes and favorable pitch counts.

If Obby beats us i think i will blow my tv up tonight.

The problem is that the Brewers don't exactly have their ace going either. I'd rather have Vargas 100% of the time but I don't think the pitching matchup is as lopsided as some might think.

Alright Claudio, pretty simple proposition. Give us a quality start tonight, or in five days the Brewers' starting pitcher is going to be named Gallardo.

That probably sounds harsh, but I think it's the truth.

rluzinski, I actually think Vargas v. Obie is an even matchup. In Obermueller's starts, he rarely was beaten...he just beat himself by nibbling. Vargas tends to do the same thing. Both have decent enough stuff that if they threw more strikes, they'd be good pitchers. And I have a feeling Obermueller might get two hits off us tonight, too.

If early posts are of any indication, if Obermueller shuts down the lineup today I think the IGT and the Vent Thread will implode.

I think you are correct. Things have been bad enough this month, we dont need to end it by getting owned by a guy who used to get beat bad for us a few years ago.

Obermueller actually showed flashes of brilliance at times, so it wouldn't be fair to lump him in with guys like Wayne Franklin or all those other horrible, ex-Brewer starting pitchers. He was just never able to put it all together.
