Moving from the stoneage: Dial up to DSL

So i am trying to get my parents to move from dial up. They live in Kenosha WI what would the board reccomend as a good company. They currently use aol dial up.

Just try to get them to package it with a service they already have, whether it's phone or cable. I prefer cable internet - seems to be faster. That's probably the cheapest way to go.

Yeah what i have found so far is that we only have Time warner as an option. So will have to try and sell them on the cable and phone too. Should be a fun talk as they barely watch the cable they have now. Thanks for the response.

They already have Time Warner cable? There wouldn't be much of a need to sell them on that, then. They will however get a small discount towards the high speed internet.

With Time Warner you should be able to get Road Runner for $30 or $35 for the first year, then the jack it up to $40 I think. And make sure they ask if they have any special offers. Reps won't always just volunteer that information. My uncle always calls up and threatens to switch to Dish Network and they somehow find a way to lower his rate.
