2008 Team 1 & 2 Practice Schedule. BOTH teams must read.

This season, with our second team kicking off it's first year, we have a large group of softball players.

Although we are in different leagues, Kenny and I have decided it is most convenient for us to have both teams practice together. This will allow for some scrimmage games and breaking down into groups for some better drills and practice time. Unfortunately, this will also limit our ability to offer "open" practices. If you are not on either team we will not have room for you. With such a large number of players we need the time alloted to be dedicated to members of each team. I apologize for this, but it's the way things must be run.

 

Practices will be located at Sijan#2 if we can get the field. If the field is occupied or reserved, we will make alternate plans.

This season, the park in Hales Corners will not be used for practice time.

Practices will run from 11am until 1pm (ish) each Saturday:

April 19,26, May 3rd, and May 10th (an all out scrimmage game).

 

We realize that there are other priorities in life besides Brewerfan Softball, just please let your team Capt. know if you will miss a practice.

I would like to request you do your very best to attend the first practice because Kenny and I have to get player cards filled out, fees collected, etc.

One thing that I have always thought is that by the time we get doing something it seems as though practice is over. I wouldn't mind a little more time in there.

I plan to make the first three practices, although I know I can't make the scrimmage on May 10th.

I noticed in the forecast that it may rain tomorrow, although at this point in time it looks really hit or miss (and we were supposed to get rain yesterday and today without a drop from what I can tell). If it is raining tomorrow morning, at what point is a decision going to be made out whether or not we have practice? Are you going to call people or just post a message here by a certain time?

I'll be at practice as soon as I can. I'm coaching youth soccer in waukesha county until 11 and it will take about 40 minutes drive to the south side.
