Well, the Cardinals have given up a huge inning and trail 8-4 to LAA right now, so the Cubs are going to leapfrog STL for 2nd place. After tonight, the standings will look like this:

 

MIL (33-28 )

CHC (27-32) 5 GB

STL (26-32) 5.5 GB

 

The Cubs have 2 more games against Atlanta, one game at home against Houston and three games at home against the Mariners. This lead could evaporate very, very quickly.
