We were also one out away from winning two out of three. Stuff happens....I'm just glad we got this one. We will not be under .500 by the time we return to Miller Park. Texas might have the worst record in the American League but that really doesn't mean much. They have big league talent and are decent at home.

Not trying to dampen anyone's mood, but a reality check: we just needed a 3-run homerun in the 12th inning to avoid a 3-game sweep to the worst team in the American League.

And the Royals swept the Yankees last year. Anything can happen in a 3-game series. Go Brewers! Don't give up ... yet!

We still got a tough week ahead of us, and this team is gonna have to work really hard to return to Milwaukee with a record of .500 or better.

They would have to lose all the remaining games of the trip to go under .500. I guess you are not quite an optimist for the crew. Sorry to hear that.

Well, if they hold on for this win, they would have to go 0-6 vs. DET/MIN to return to Milwaukee under .500. I'm just frustrated as all hell right now, even with this win.

Detroit is on fire right now and Minny is coming on. We still could very possibly have another week of hell in front of us.

I'm expecting 2-4 or worse to end the road trip.

The worst team in the AL is what, the 6th best in the NL or so? http://forum.brewerfan.net/images/smilies/wink.gif

Marlon Byrd is really starting to tick me off. Is Vargas really the guy you want closing out a tight game? Really? Mr. "Walk the Bases Loaded Before Recording an Out"?

Its not that I dont think Vargas can protect 3 runs.....its that I dont understand why we use another pitcher - much less a starter when the guy we had in the game was absolutly rolling.

Yost is certifiably crazy ... actually this makes sense. Vargas had his spot skipped in the rotation this time around.
