Yeh, a win tomorrow would just be icing on the cake. The crazy thing is, whatever statistical advantage the Cubs might have had in season projections has already been mostly overcome. A win tomorrow and those darn stat-heads would consider the Brewers the new favorites to win the division. http://forum.brewerfan.net/images/smilies/smile.gif

I dunno if the Cubs forum is sarcasm or not but I'm just rolling the floor laughing to some of there comments:

we are due for an early season "score 4 in the first then watch the lead get whittled away before losing 5-4" game.

We seem to always kill Dave Bush in the 1st inning, so I expect we'll score 4 in the first, but it won't matter because Dempster will give up about 12 in 4 innings pitched.

Gearing up for a Dempsaster.

If we get a sweep tomorrow and go in to the home opener 3-0, Miller Park might pop it's top. Even if we are 2-1, it will be nuts. Can't wait to be there Fri. I'm very excited/nervous for the game tomorrow. I really hope Bush is on track.

rlunziski, I believe you are incorrect about making up the projection gap. I noticed this last year and it makes more sense when you think about it. If you figure out the expected wins for the Brewers in this series given each teams projected records and the home field to the Cubs it at worst for the Crew would work out to only say 1.3 wins. Which means that if they lost today they'd only gain 0.7 wins over projections. And if they sweep it still only 1.7 wins and I think the closest I saw them was 2 games. If you also calculate how much ground the Cubs have lost I think it works out then only if we sweep.
