Employee Discounts

bacon06
I'm doing a project for school on employee discounts and I need some help. What I'm looking for is an example of a bussiness' employee discount policy and preferably something I can use as a source, like a web site. I know some companies aren't allowed to divulge this information, and I don't want to get anyone in trouble, but any information anyone could provide would be greatly appreciated. Thanks!

I work for a public utility, Progress Energy, and we get discounts on Hurricanes tickets, cell phone plans, off-broadway shows, durham bulls games, water parks, cars, computers, and certain restaurants. we get a lot of these because we cut them a break on their electricity rates.

I work very part-time at Williams-Sonoma and I get 40% off all merchandise, with the exception of a 20% discount on electric items and sale items. This extends to our corporations other companies, including Pottery Barn, and the website.

Totally worth the 8 hrs a month I work there http://forum.brewerfan.net/images/smilies/smile.gif

I get...nothing. Work retail.

Actually that is a bit misleading, I guess. I get 25% off any black pants and 50% of black or dark brown boots, including steel-toe. These have to be approved for work attire.

I haven't used these generous offers yet, although I plan on getting a pair of good steel toe boots for my summer construction work.

When I worked at Harley-Davidson Corporate, we were able to buy bikes at well below MSRP, and the payment was taken pre-tax out of the paycheck. A steal. This deal was available to family members of employees as well.

Not to mention that we had various other offers through partners such as Dell and other retailers.

This was when I was in high school, so it may have changed, but at Lands' End Inlet stores you got 30% off the price. You also got a gift certificate when you were hired and then once a year following that to be used in the store to purchase clothes to wear to work. It couldn't be used on things you couldn't/wouldn't wear in the store - so no outwear, pajamas, etc...
