MetalWood bats

Has anyone ever used one of these bats? I've wondered when a product like this would catch on.

That looks like a cool idea, but that bump near the middle of the bat looks a little suspect:

Ive seen them used in softball tournies. Some guys on my team asked me to play in a tourny with them, I couldnt make it. They used them and thought it was definatly different. If you missed the sweet spot you were definatly not going to hit it far.
