I agree that Yost is just hustling here. The idea was let them get a no hitter in game one. The teams going to go out and celebrate this one, get drunk and have a bad hangover tomorrow. Then Cappy will easily win. The rubber match comes down to Sheets dominating and we win again, thus taking the series.

That's ridiculous. You know Ben Sheets is our best DH, and Kevin Mench is a much better lead off hitter. Estrada is a born and bred clean up hitter.

Can we make the IGT black, in memory of the season that could have been? I've got this sick feeling that we're not even going to make the playoffs with a 24-10 start. I don't want a win, I want to crush them. If it's not a 10 run win, I won't be impressed. At some point these players need to figure out that they need to hit to win any freaking games.

Against a lefty? I doubt it. And if Gwynn is leading off against a lefty, I will give myself shaking baby syndrome.

 

The fact is, the Brewers don't have a single good option for a DH against a lefty. His best option is to probably just take the defensive upgrade at CF or 3B. Sad but true.
