Road wins 2008 vs 2007

I think the Brewers will finish with something like an 86-76 record, which is a .531 winning %. The average team takes about a 4% hit to their winning % on the road. That would give the Brewers an expected winning % on the road of around .491 for 2008, which works out to about 40 wins.

You guys want the over or the under? http://forum.brewerfan.net/images/smilies/smile.gif

I'll take the under on that. I had the Crew at 88 wins total. For road wins I will say 36.

I'm still looking for our first road sweep since 2004.

This Thursday?

was that the famous sweep suits episode?

I think a sweep of this series is more then possible. Brewers pound lefties (Lilly) and Dempster was turned into a reliever for a reason. That being said, I'll be happy with winning just one more game this series.

I am happy with getting one win in this series. Before the start of the series I said I wouldn't be disappointed unless we got swept and I am not changing that now.

I will take the under. We haven't been good on the road for years, I doubt it changes now.

Fan is short for fanatic.

I blame Wang.

It's interesting that the best road record in the Yost/Melvin era was the first year. Home wins have gone up every year (last year was the team's 5th best home record of all time), but road wins have been up and down. 82 had the best road record (47-34). But road wins have been hard to come by. Even 1992 had a losing road record (39-42)

Road record:

2003 - 37-44

2004 - 31-49

2005 - 35-46

2006 - 27-54

2007 - 32-49

I'll take the under on 40 wins.

Edit: But we should do much better this year since we don't have Cordero's 6.55 road ERA and 6 blown saves, right? http://forum.brewerfan.net/images/smilies/smile.gif
